Elizabeth Laverde has been a Real Estate agent in the South Florida housing marketing since 2008 with 20 years of experience in the financial and operations sectors in Colombia, her country of origin. When she first moved to the U.S. in 2003, she spent most of her time caring for her daughters, being a foster parent, learning a new language, and being a volunteer in the public school system. Today she continues to be deeply committed to her role as mother, wife, friend and volunteer as well as a real estate agent who continues to grow by embracing every learning opportunity that presents itself to her.
Elizabeth’s decision to become a realtor came from her experience in Colombia as a leader within a large service corporation. When she moved to the U.S., she was keen to test different opportunities where she could apply her expertise and still have the freedom to manage her own schedule. She obtained her real estate license when the market dropped which led her to study and specialize in Short Sales. The majority of her listings closed successfully to the benefit of her clients, with the most gratifying experience being the moment she could share with them their loan approval letter, symbolic of the opportunity for a fresh start.
Information is power, which is why Elizabeth’s philosophy is to always stay current and open to education. She passes this thinking onto her clients. When working with a client for the first time she programs a kick-off meeting to allow the client to communicate their needs and expectations. She also schedules additional “coaching meetings” to inform and prepare clients for the different stages of buying, selling, and renting real estate. As a realtor, it is her responsibility to guide the client throughout the entire process and give insight into all the professionals and entities that will directly intervene in the transaction. Investment in Real Estate can be one of the most valuable undertakings which is why Elizabeth works to ensure that she and her clients engage as a team to establish a clear direction and communication strategy that will lead to a successful closing.
Elizabeth’s strong work ethic, skill set and personal qualities can best be obtained from her past clients. Most of her business comes from referrals and written recommendations that describe her as reliable, trustworthy, honest, knowledgeable, reachable, and offering great customer service.
